You may have noticed the structure being erected high in the sky above South Monroe. This, in fact, is the Capital Cascades Crossing pedestrian, and soon it will be open for business. After years of planning and more than a year of construction, the much-anticipated city project will soon connect Cascades Park to the Capital Cascades Trail. Eventually, the bridge will connect to the much-beloved St. Marks Trail. In the mean time, the bridge will give pedestrians a safe way to cross Monroe Street.
