385 homes in Tallahassee were sold this March.  Did yours?

Homes that have been sitting on the market for several months may need to reconsider their price. Some homeowners wait months to get receive an offer with their desired price. However, they need to consider that if it hasn’t sold yet, maybe it’s not priced properly.

In Tallahassee, the average single family home spends less than three months (85 days) on the market. This number is even lower in the Northeast and Southeast portions of Tallahassee.

Additionally, there is currently only a 3.8-month supply of inventory available for sale in Tallahassee. This number is much lower than the six-month inventory that is considered normal.

This means that there are not enough properties currently available for sale to satisfy all the demands of buyers who are currently seeking homes.

Bottom Line

We understand that you may have a number in mind when selling your home. However, fair market value is based on buyer demand. And, if your home hasn’t sold in today’s very active seller’s market, it is time to reconsider your current asking price.
